Peachland, while a small community, is a very popular boating location in the Central Okanagan. There are both shops & services as well as landmarks in the area which make Peachland one of the top locations for boating.
Downtown Peachland has many services, ranging from multiple boat launches to food and leisure services such as restaurants and parks / beaches. Downtown Peachland is along the shores of Okanagan Lake approx. 3 km long with one of the biggest beach strips in the entire Okanagan. There are also parks within walking distance to docking stations for activities such as having picnics or enjoying ice cream from one of local shops downtown main street.
Across the lake from Peachland are a few tourist landmarks. One of these tourist attractions is Rattlesnake Island. Formally a mini golf park, Rattlesnake Island is a popular boating area with other landmarks and small camping sites in the area. Another landmark near Rattlesnake Island is Squally Point. Squally Point is a popular location for both boaters and swimmers. It is also a popular location for divers to explore the various caves and shipwrecks. While you are near Rattlesnake Island and Squally Point, you can also visit Okanagan Mountain Regional Park. The park has many trails and hiking spots along with small beaches where boaters can camp out for the night.
